Equipment
Throughout the last thirty-five years I have bought and sold many different cameras from large format to 35mm. Although I have often taken pictures of animals, it is only recently that I have begun to specialise in images of wildlife with an emphasis on birds, so subject matter has now dictated my equipment.
I love digital cameras and the freedom of computer editing. I am currently using a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III which is capable of taking 21 megapixels images, giving me plenty of room to move with cropping and editing birds.
I always shoot in RAW and edit in the RAW editor in Photoshop CS3. I also use various plug-ins such as PhotoKit Sharpener and Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 Standard.
Silva looking for the next great shot
